A fabulous Old Mine Cut Diamond came in for a make-over. A very lovely stone, impressive in size, colour and clarity. It had recieved a few grazes on the girdle over the 100’s of years of adornment so its last incarnation design wise left it a bit open to the elements with everyday wear so we decided to give it six claws to hide these little life grazes. I wanted to keep it large and open to accentuate the size and splendour of the stone. I added a few grams of 18ct white gold to beef things...

A lovely commission for a wonderful lady, utilising the gold from several pieces including her late husbands wedding band and adding a little pendant detail studded with 18 melee diamonds. When you have just over 20 grams of gold you have accumulated enough in 9 carat to make a decent size bangle so we had the perfect amount to also add a little flourish- a personal touch of a bead studded with diamonds. A beautiful piece to wear every day and a lovely way to keep those cherished memories...

My latest piece to leave the workshop. These high grade heart shaped Tsavorite Garnet gems looked truly magnificent mounted into this ring. The stones were carefully selected for their chrome green intense colour and set into high carat yellow gold so they really catch the eye and suit the wearers skin tone perfectly. I wanted to make it sparkle so added a central diamond, I needed to be careful not to part the hearts or clover leaves too far apart so balance was key in the design,...
