Engagement ring revamp

A once fantastic piece with gorgeous stones had seen some love and wear, the wearer a creator like me but in clay which takes its toll on the hands.

The client came with exactly what she wanted in mind, bringing a 9ct band to add to get a chunkier piece.

I also added a touch of 18ct to keep the colour rich.

A necessary edition of gold weight as rub over settings always take a bit more gold than you realise, thankful for the experience as a goldsmith to give me that info before starting.

Gorgeous stones and with the addition of more metal the desired result was achieved.

Really pleased with the resulting piece.
