Three bequeathed great grandfather and grandfathers gold rings and a brief to make one signet for a young man to carry forward with him through life.
The sides to be owl like by design and the top to carry his initials.
Such an enjoyable brief to get my design teeth into.
Casting is an option using customers gold but we need about 40% extra to get the pour this is then handed back so to cut out this process and the need for extra gold, with a careful design in place I set about hand forging and carving my design for the desired result, less gold needed and a stunning outcome.
We had 4 initials to juggle so I designed my own font and layout to have lasered into the top of the ring as I felt a lot of scrolling script would be hard to decipher.
A beautiful signet brief flown back to its rightful home.
